Two endings, one choice: accept the Cenobites or stay human. Reload the final autosave to earn both ending trophies without a second playthrough.
Hellraiser Revival All Endings: How to Get Both in One Playthrough
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival has exactly two endings, both unlocked by one decision after the final Labyrinth section: refuse the Cenobites' offer and stay human ("Human After All"), or walk through the opening in the wall and become one of them ("Experience Beyond Limits"). No second playthrough is involved — finish an ending, return to the main menu, load the final autosave and take the opposite choice. Nothing earlier in the campaign locks either outcome out.

How Many Endings Does Hellraiser: Revival Have?
Two. The achievement list holds exactly two ending entries, and the choice carries no item, ritual or side-objective prerequisites.
| Ending | What Aidan does | Achievement / trophy | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stay human (the "good" ending) | Waits in the apartment until the opening in the wall seals | Human After All — "Finish the story by denying the Cenobites' offer" | Keeps his humanity, stays behind, has to build a new life with no reunion with Sunny |
| Join the Cenobites (the "bad" ending) | Walks through the opening before it closes | Experience Beyond Limits — "Finish the story by accepting the Cenobites' offer" | Gives up his humanity and is transformed into a Cenobite |
The PowerPyx trophy roadmap, the KeenGamer endings guide and Sportskeeda's endings write-up list both triggers in identical terms. Both ending trophies are required for the PS5 To Hell and Back platinum, and PowerPyx confirms difficulty never blocks them — everything is earnable on the easiest setting.
Where the Final Choice Happens (Spoiler-Free)
- Complete the Ritual of Rebirth — the final Labyrinth section, which unlocks the story trophy "Tear Your Soul Apart." Our Labyrinth walkthrough covers that stretch.
- Watch the cutscene that returns you to the apartment.
- Regain control of Aidan with an opening in the wall slowly closing in front of you.
There is no dialogue prompt and no menu selection: walking through before the wall seals accepts the offer, standing still until it closes refuses it. KeenGamer is explicit that standing still is a deliberate choice rather than a failed objective, and that the human ending needs no hidden interaction, puzzle or fight. Collectibles do not gate either route — Sportskeeda notes you need no special items or extra objectives to unlock any outcome.
There is no Chapter Select and no free-roam after the story, so a save file is the only way back. Make a manual save at the last save point before the Ritual of Rebirth — our difficulty and saving guide covers autosaves and Save Tokens per mode.
How to Get Both Endings in One Playthrough
The reload works on any difficulty, and PowerPyx's roadmap confirms the intended route: minimum playthroughs for the full trophy list is 1. The game keeps a save from just before the finale, so loading it returns you to the decision — not the campaign's start.
- Finish the Ritual of Rebirth, watch the apartment cutscene and make your first choice: walk through the opening, or stay until it seals.
- Let the ending play out; the achievement pops when the story finishes.
- Open the main menu and load the most recent autosave — KeenGamer notes it drops you at the start of the final apartment cutscene, before you regain control.
- Watch the cutscene again and take the opposite choice. The second unlock takes a few minutes.
| Difficulty | Save behaviour at the finale | How to reach the choice again |
|---|---|---|
| Easy / Normal | Autosave active before the finale | Load the latest autosave, then pick the opposite option |
| Hard | Autosaves off, fewer save points | Load a manual save made before the Ritual of Rebirth, then replay the finale |
| Hellraiser | Each save costs a limited Save Token; new game only | Keep one Save Token for the pre-finale save, load it, replay |
The Hard and Hellraiser rows come from KeenGamer's difficulty breakdown; our difficulty page has all four modes. Two facts make this reload the only option: no Chapter Select and no New Game Plus at launch. PowerPyx counts two rotating autosave slots plus eight manual save slots per playthrough slot — room enough to keep saves around the finale as insurance.
With autosaves off, finishing the finale with no usable save means the second ending costs a full replay. The beginner tips list covers the other launch-week save traps.

As of October 12, 2026 no post-launch patch notes exist, so there is no version number to check against — nothing official has changed the ending flow since the October 8 release. Log trophy trouble against our known issues page instead of assuming it is part of the ending design.
Is There a Secret Ending?
No. There is no third ending, no hidden ritual, no collectible-gated branch and no post-credits mode. KeenGamer checked the list for a secret and found exactly two ending achievements; the Pain and Suffering Pillar artifacts only feed their own trophies and have no effect on the final scene. The achievements page lists every Steam and console entry with missable flags, both ending entries sitting among the story trophies. There is no ending-related DLC either: the official FAQ promises patches only.
What Each Ending Means (Spoilers)
Not finished yet? Jump to how to get both endings in one playthrough, the spoiler-free choice explanation or the FAQ.
Both endings share one setup: the Ritual of Rebirth is over, Aidan is back in the apartment, the Cenobites offer him a place among them and Zora stays in the room. Neither ending reunites Aidan with Sunny.
Human After All (stay). The opening closes and the Cenobites leave without Aidan. He remains behind, and the closing scene has him talking about starting his life again rather than wasting a second chance — a human future outside the Labyrinth, but still no Sunny.
Experience Beyond Limits (accept). Walking through starts the transformation at once — chains pierce Aidan and hold him in place, his tongue is torn out as the first part of the sacrifice, and as the chains tear into him he relives his memories of Sunny, his last moments as a human. No playable chapter follows.
Why the offer exists. Wikipedia's plot summary records the terms: once Sunny is restored, the Hell Priest demands Aidan fulfil his bargain, the Fallen offers him the choice to join them, and Zora urges him to choose his own destiny — accept and they enter the Void, refuse and Aidan walks away to build a new life. KeenGamer and Sportskeeda tell the same beat more loosely (the offer comes "from the Cenobites" at the opening in the wall, with a Reverend Mother waiting beyond it), but the mechanics match in all three. For what Sunny actually planned, see our story explained guide on clivebarker.wiki.
Which Ending Is Canon?
Saber Interactive has not named either outcome as canon; the finale is framed as a personal choice with no good or bad label (KeenGamer, as of October 11, 2026). What is settled is the setting: a new canonical Hellraiser story written with Clive Barker, inspired by the first two films — Hellraiser (1987) and Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), per Wikipedia. Pick the ending that fits your read of Aidan, then reload for the other.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many endings does Hellraiser: Revival have? Two — Human After All (deny the offer) and Experience Beyond Limits (accept it). No secret third ending exists.
How do you get both endings in one playthrough? Finish the story, load the final autosave from the main menu and take the opposite choice. On Hard and Hellraiser, load a manual save made before the Ritual of Rebirth instead.
Do choices earlier in the game affect the ending? No. Nothing before the final apartment locks either ending out — no collectibles, pillars or side objectives. Difficulty does not affect them either.
Can I get both endings on Hellraiser difficulty? Yes, as long as you kept one Save Token in reserve before the finale; there is no autosave to fall back on.
Is there New Game Plus or chapter select? Neither, which is exactly why the final save file matters.
Before you commit to a run, check the walkthrough hub so you know which chapters feed the finale, and watch the known issues hub in case a patch changes how the final save behaves.
