Minimum: GTX 1660 / RX Vega 64, 8GB RAM, 80GB SSD. Recommended: RTX 3060 / RX 6600 XT, 16GB. Here is what PC players need to know.
Hellraiser Revival System Requirements: Official PC Specs and Steam Deck Status
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival launched on October 8, 2026 on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 (launch details by platform), and the official PC minimum is a GTX 1660 or RX Vega 64 with 8GB of RAM and an 80GB install that recommends an SSD. The recommended tier asks for an RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT with 16GB of RAM on the same Windows 10 22H2+ base. Valve's Steam Deck verification badge still read "Unknown" four days after launch, so treat every Deck performance claim as community-report until that badge changes.
Official Hellraiser: Revival PC requirements
Both the Steam store page and Saber Interactive's official FAQ publish the minimum list; the recommended tier comes from the Steam listing:
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 update or later) | Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 update or later) |
| CPU | AMD Ryzen 5 1500X / Intel Core i5-8400 | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel Core i5-12400F |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 | AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 |
| Storage | 80 GB available space | 80 GB available space |
| Other | 64-bit processor and OS required; SSD recommended | 64-bit processor and OS required; SSD recommended |
Official source: Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival FAQ — Saber Interactive — the FAQ's "What are the minimum specs for the game?" answer matches the Steam listing line for line, including "OS: Windows 10 64-bit + (22H2 update or later)" and "Additional Notes: SSD is recommended".
Two details worth pulling out:
- This is a Windows-only game. Steam's platform data lists Windows yes, macOS no, Linux no — there is no native Linux build, which is exactly why the Deck question needs its own section. The listing also confirms full controller support, DualShock/DualSense compatibility and Steam Cloud saves on PC.
- Neither Valve nor Saber states a target resolution or framerate for either tier — there is no "1080p/60 at minimum" footnote on the store page or in the FAQ. Any chart claiming GPU X delivers Y frames per second is somebody's own test — check that it names the settings preset first.
What the 80GB SSD line actually means
Both tiers list the same 80 GB available space, and "SSD is recommended" appears under Additional Notes rather than as a hard requirement — Saber is recommending, not enforcing, solid-state storage. Since Saber has committed to post-launch patches, keep some slack beyond 80GB for updates rather than filling the drive to the last byte.
The recommendation matters more than usual because this is an Unreal Engine 5 game (per the game's Wikipedia entry), and UE5 titles stream assets aggressively during traversal. Installing to a spinning hard drive will likely mean longer loads and a higher chance of traversal stutter — inference on our side, not a published figure — with no offsetting benefit.
Will Hellraiser Revival run on Steam Deck?
Short answer: nobody can say officially yet, and you should not buy it for a Deck expecting a green checkmark.
- There is no Linux build. Deck owners run the Windows version through Valve's Proton translation layer. That usually works these days, but it is compatibility work, not a port.
- Valve's Deck verification badge is still "Unknown." ProtonDB's page for the game lists "Deck Verified Status: Unknown" even while its crowd-sourced compatibility tier sits at Platinum from user reports, and trackers like gamingonsteam.com show the same Unknown status days after launch. linuxgamenews.com likewise noted that Deck verification "is also not stated."
- Demo-era testing was optimistic — but it tested the demo. Steam Deck HQ's September 22, 2026 hands-on concluded the pre-launch demo "shows potential," and a popular r/SteamDeck thread from the same period reported it running great. Neither covers the full 80GB game through 12 hours of late-game Labyrinth effects.
- Storage is the silent killer. The 64GB LCD model cannot hold an 80GB install internally at all; the 256GB and 512GB models must clear a large slice of the drive or use a microSD card, which is considerably slower than internal NVMe — "SSD is recommended" applies to Deck installs too.
- Upscaling is unverified. The Steam listing does not advertise AMD FSR or NVIDIA DLSS support as of October 12, 2026, and Saber has published no PC feature list. The community expectation for a UE5 shooter on handheld hardware is that upscaling will be needed at Deck resolutions — reasonable, but unconfirmed.
Every "runs great on Deck" statement right now traces to user reports or demo testing. Until Valve's badge flips from Unknown to Playable or Verified — or Saber comments directly — use the free Steam demo as your own benchmark before spending anything.
The practical move for Deck owners: install the Steam demo (Saber confirms one exists in the FAQ), play ten minutes of the Prologue, and judge the build on your own hardware. Our edition comparison covers what each tier includes if you decide to buy.

The only confirmed framerate numbers are on consoles
Saber's FAQ answers the performance question with two lines: "We have 30/60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X," and "We have 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2 and /XBOX Series S" (the stray slash is in the original). PS5 and Xbox Series X are the 60fps-class targets, with Series S and Switch 2 locked to 30.
Those numbers are console certifications, not GPU benchmarks, but they show what class of hardware Saber validated the game against. For what differs between every version — including the Switch 2's uncensored status — see our PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC differences guide.
Patch and driver status at launch week
As of October 12, 2026 — four days after release — Saber has not published formal patch notes for the retail build. The Steam news feed carries launch announcements and late-September demo patch notes, but no post-launch PC changelog yet. On support in general, the official FAQ is unambiguous:
"While we expect to release some patches to address issues discovered post-launch, we do not have plans for future DLC or content updates." — Saber Interactive FAQ
Three launch-week habits that cost nothing: pull current GPU drivers before first boot (current drivers are the baseline for any new UE5 release; no day-one driver for this game is confirmed), stay online so patches apply automatically (the FAQ recommends connectivity even though the game is fully playable offline), and check our known issues tracker before blaming your GPU for a crash — launch-week reports already include hardware-irrelevant console bugs.
Minimum vs recommended: what each tier buys you
The minimum GPUs are not recent parts: the GTX 1660 launched on March 14, 2019 and the RX Vega 64 on August 14, 2017 (TechPowerUp GTX 1660 entry, TechPowerUp RX Vega 64 entry); the recommended tier swaps them for the RTX 3060 and RX 6600 XT. With no official targets published, the sober reading is that minimum means "playable with reduced settings at 1080p" and recommended means comfortable 1080p with headroom to push quality higher — an interpretation, not a Saber quote.
For most players, two upgrades beat a spec-sheet panic: an SSD if you do not have one, and 16GB of RAM if you are sitting on 8GB — the recommended tier's RAM figure is double the minimum's. Before spending anything, weigh what the machine will actually be rendering: our worth-it analysis covers the 8–12 hour campaign, and the demo covers your specific hardware for free.
FAQ
Do I need an internet connection to play on PC? No. The FAQ says no connection is required, but recommends going online so you receive the latest patches.
Is there a native Steam Deck or Linux version? No. Steam lists the game as Windows-only; Deck users run it through Proton, and Valve's badge was still Unknown as of October 12, 2026.
Is an SSD required, or just recommended? Recommended. Both the Steam listing and the FAQ phrase it as "SSD is recommended"; the hard requirement is 80GB free on 64-bit Windows 10 22H2 or later.
Is there a demo I can test my hardware with? Yes — Saber confirms a demo is available on Steam. It is the most reliable way to check your hardware before buying.
