Hellraiser Revival Bosses: Bruno, Charlotte, Sister of Mercy and Marlowe

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival has four boss fights — Bruno twice, Charlotte, Sister of Mercy and final boss Marlowe — plus three Chatterer chases, and one loop beats all of them: evade instead of sprint, shotgun the target, Banish with the Genesis Configuration when it flashes blue. Every boss trophy is story-related and cannot be missed; arena loot can be. Sourced from PowerPyx and Thumb Wars as of 2026-10-12, four days after launch; no public patch notes yet.

Official source: Saber Interactive — Hellraiser: Revival FAQ — the publisher calls it "single-player first-person action horror survival", "Around 8-12 hours of gameplay".

Every Boss in Order

There are no numbered chapters; the Objectives menu is your only progress marker.

# Boss Where Trophy Missable risk
1 Bruno (1st) Mansion basement Come to Daddy Bruno's Scalpel drop
2 Charlotte Forest arena, after the three statue parts Heart on Fire Charlotte's Crown drop
3 Sister of Mercy Where the box is thrown through the wall No Mercy None
4 Bruno (2nd) Marlowe hunt, after the missing bell Come Here, Damn You, I Want to Touch You None
5 Marlowe Final church Go to Hell! None (hidden on Steam)

PowerPyx marks all five "Story-related, cannot be missed". The danger is everything around them: with no chapter select, route collectibles must be grabbed on the pass you are on.

The Two Mechanics Behind Every Fight

Evade, do not run. Charlotte catches sprinters, Bruno covers a small room fast. Evade is R1 on PlayStation / RB on Xbox; a boss grab is beaten by mashing R2 / RT.

Banish the blue glow. Bosses flash blue when they are ready — hit them with the Genesis Configuration. Telekinesis unlocks before Charlotte, Hellchains after the third Chatterer chase, so both are live for the late fights: Genesis Configuration powers.

Shotgun blast into enemies inside the blue Labyrinth in Hellraiser: Revival

Shotgun first, Dragon Breath if you can afford it

PowerPyx reports the shotgun does the most damage to bosses of any weapon; Dragon Breath rounds (Zora's second shop, 360 coins) set them burning while they move. See weapons and upgrades.

Bruno, Fight 1: The Mansion Basement

Bruno chases you around a small room trying to grab you. Spend the throwable objects first, then shotgun and pistol — his health bar is huge even on easy, and he grabs mid-combo, so don't get greedy. Enough damage and he melts into a puddle of blood that hunts you across the floor; stay out of reach until he reforms, unload again, Banish at the blue glow.

Loot before you leave

Pick Bruno's Scalpel off the floor; the area does not reopen. On Hard and Hellraiser, saves are restricted, so save before the door — difficulty modes and saving.

Charlotte: The Fire-Stun Loop

Charlotte is the difficulty jump, and she dies to one loop: burn her, shotgun her head, repeat. Empty the boxes and both police car trunks first; the letter at the tree spawns a crowd, but the arriving police shoot them all, so ignore the adds.

Burn her with arena explosives and barrels, or pull fire off the torches with Telekinesis and shoot it — the stun lasts about 10 seconds (PowerPyx), long enough to close in and put shells into her head. If she charges, drop a barrel between you and detonate it; mind the bear trap.

At half health she climbs the cliff and throws blue exploding enemies down. Kill them, then shoot the explosive while she's still holding it to knock her back into the loop. She is faster after that: face her and evade rather than sprint. Banish, take Charlotte's Crown. Her two chases are separate encounters — more below.

Sister of Mercy: Sneak, Smoke, Second Phase

She first appears where she is effectively instant death: she throws the Genesis Configuration through a wall at the top of the room, so throw bottles to pull her away, climb the stairs and go through the hole — So Much for the Cat and Mouse Shtick.

The fight has her floating above the arena, lunging and grabbing, and phase one is an ammo dump worth about a third of her health. Two things carry it: the smoke veil, where she floods the arena and you keep bullets to shoot her out of a dive three times before it lifts; and Hellchains at half health, when she drops and the chains rip off both arms. She then throws knives and glass with Telekinesis, so break line of sight behind the pillars. Out of ammo? Wait for her to drift near the second-level platform and cut her with melee. Banish for No Mercy and another heart.

Bruno, Fight 2: Two Phases, Two Arenas

Triggered during the Marlowe hunt, right after the missing bell and elevator; the blood graffiti gives it away and the lead-up areas are heavy with ammo. Phase one is a small room: dump everything, Hellchains to hold him still, shoot the fire barrels. At half health he sinks into blood and slips out through the hole in the wall — heal, reload, strip the room, follow.

Phase two is a construction area around a monolith. He is quicker, but the method holds: Dragon Breath rounds, sharp objects thrown with the box, pickups as you go. Late on he drags you into his blood — mash R2 / RT, keep damaging, Banish for Come Here, Damn You, I Want to Touch You.

Community-reported banish hang-up

One r/hellraiserthegame post describes a Hard-difficulty player reaching the end of this fight with no banish prompt — a single report as of 2026-10-12, not a confirmed bug. See known issues and fixes.

Marlowe: Kill the Three Disciples First

After Marlowe's transformation there is ground to cover — puzzles, swarms, conversations with the Cenobites and Zora — so stockpile ammo, health and crafting before the arena; the boxes scattered through it are hard to loot while he is on you.

Shooting Marlowe himself does very little. The targets are the three disciples on his back:

  1. Kill all three and they fall off; after the third he stumbles and you Hellchain him.
  2. He recovers, knocks you into another part of the church, and phase two begins.
  3. Same rule, more aggression: faster, grabs and throws you down, leaps across the arena. Evade constantly.
  4. Kill the second trio, Hellchain him as he drops to his knees, attack the centre with bullets or blades, then Banish when he rises and stumbles.

PowerPyx notes the maps here appear bugged (missing or wrong position). Go to Hell! unlocks for the kill — hidden on Steam.

The Three Chatterer Chases

These are Labyrinth runners, not health bars: the Chatterer appears beside and in front of you, and you take whichever path it is not on.

# Position Trophy What changes
1 After a save point during the cult escape No Time for Argument Pure running
2 Leaving the Labyrinth toward the Field of Souls Run, Aidan, Run! Block-moving with the box; jail-cell cutaway; pillar room: one block down, one left
3 After the club, heading down and out I Can Do This All Day (Silver) Spinning blades; painting hallway, interact with the table items three times

The third chase grants Unlimited Power! (Hellchains); the enemies waiting there are the easiest spot to farm In the Land of the Pig, the Butcher is King — 69 Hellchain kills — with a full Suffering bar and an autosave reload. Charlotte's two chases use the same rule — take the path opposite her: the Scarlet Church escape grants Only Nightmares Last Forever!, the graveyard lantern Burn? Oh, Such a Limited Imagination!, and touching no bottles or stones keeps A Quiet Place alive.

Missables Around the Boss Fights

Missable When How it is lost
Bruno's Scalpel After Bruno fight 1 Sellable drop, area closes
Charlotte's Crown After Charlotte Grab it off the body first
A Quiet Place Graveyard before the first heart No bottles, no stones, never spotted
Red Dead Damnation Docks range, before the well All 9 bottles need 9 bullets in one visit
No chapter select, no New Game Plus

PowerPyx states everything is missable because there is no chapter select, and there is no New Game Plus at launch. Save often, sell Treasure, take every Labyrinth branch — checklist in achievements: 69 Steam and 44 console, route in the walkthrough hub.

FAQ

How many bosses are there? Four named bosses fought five times — Bruno twice, Charlotte, Sister of Mercy and Marlowe. The three Chatterer sequences are chases, and the multi-arm miniboss in the voyeur-room stretch isn't one of the four.

Can you miss a boss achievement? No — PowerPyx marks all five story-related. What you can miss is the arena loot and the missables on the way in.
